Fact #10

She is a prominent gay rights and AIDS activist. As part of her work for these causes she sits on the boards of the Matthew Shepard Foundation and the Point Foundation, and she spoke at the 1993 March on Washington. In her honour, she had a library named after her at the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center in 1998.
