I mean it when I say it is an honor to be nominated. I get to do the thing I love most in the world, and then I get this! I’m so thrilled. This is so embarrassing, but I was up for most of the night. I just could not sleep. Then when I finally fell asleep this morning I missed the announcement. I was dreaming about the Tony announcements and that I was doing the show tonight and had the wrong dress on for the first scene. When I got up, I didn’t see anything on my phone so I thought, ‘Go about your day, run your errands and do what you have to do.’ Then I turned on my e-mail and it was just a floodgate! This is so special for me. I just wish the rest of our amazing cast and team was nominated as well. I go out there every night with my old friend Dan Lauria and my guys. I’ve got this whole team on my side. I feel grateful to be representing the team, but Coach Lombardi would say it’s only because of the team anything ever gets done.
